New Year Resolutions - How to Make them Work - Mrs Claus Tips for Investing in Yourself & Your Goals in the New Year!

By Platinum Quality AuthorBernadette Dimitrov, The HoHoHo Expert!

We all want to manifest our goals set for the new year, yet four out of five people never do.  So here are Mrs Claus top tips to keep investing in yourself to give your goals and resolutions the fuel to manifestation.

According to Mrs Claus we are spiritual beings having a human experience.  We need to ignite our spirit but how do we do that?  It is with passion.  Yes passion is what will spur you on to invest in yourself and do what you have to do to manifest your goals.  Otherwise they are merely wishes with no fuel to bring them into fruition.

Here are Mrs Claus top tips she teaches at the North Pole school to the elves to ensure they have the right understanding to set them off on a great path in life.  One of fulfillment and manifestation of their goals in their life:

1.     don’t choose a goal that you think you should do because of outside influences (such as a new trend) choose a goal that inspires you; you are passionate about it!

2.          Be specific about your intentions.  It is no good to be vague about what you want because that will lead to nothing.  Being specific with steps and measurable intentions for your life with a plan that concludes with the end result will give you steps to work on which is what you need to put into action each day.  Without specific planning and measurable intentions you are still in dream mode.  To dream is good however you are human so you need to go to the next step or little to nothing will happen. You must have a required action plan.

Here is an example:  for prosperity don’t say “I am going to make more money this year”  it’s not specific enough.  Say “I will make an extra $200 per week for the next 12 months”.  Then you have to write out how you will achieve this step by step for each day, week and month with a time frame so your goal can be measurable and fine tuned as you go.  This will also keep you motivated with a challenge to aspire to each day.

Another example may be to develop a deeper and more loving relationship with your children.  “I will spend 20 minutes every second day with one of my children with total focus and commitment to doing an activity, reading to them or talking about their life just with them and no distractions”.  This is a great goal and achievable if you diarize in advance with your children so this activity is expected and will be looked forward to.  Imagine the development of love and heart connection with your children.  Feelings will transpire from you that you acknowledge, love and cherish them.  This is transformational.

3.     Decide to eliminate “attention deficit disorder” from your intentions and goals.  It is so easy to get distracted in this modern fast past world.  However it is actually a choice and you need to be conscious of your choices at any given moment.  Whenever you choose to be distracted you take away the fuel from your rocket and the destination becomes only a dream once more.  As our friend best selling author and mentor James Ray says “energy goes where attention flows”.  You must keep your attention where you are going no matter what is going on in your life.  Distractions are a test to your commitment and how much you really want the end result.  This is why you must be clear about the inspiration and passion behind each goal.  If it is not there then this is where you will easily be distracted and your energy towards your goals will be scattered out the door.  It happens in a moments choice.  Choose to be conscious in the moment this coming year and you will witness amazing transformation in your life.

4.     Celebrate each victory along the way no matter how small the victory you need to acknowledge it, that you are making progress and give yourself a pat on the back.  For example today I exercised by walking to the shops instead of taking my car.  I choose fresh fruit instead of a cake.  These are all small steps that accumulate to the success of a massive goal such as weight loss and health gain.  Never underestimate each decision you make – it is powerful.  Always ask yourself is this choice bringing me closer to my goal or further away.  You are always in control.  It is your choice and you constantly create more of what you choose.  If you find yourself constantly slipping back into old habits you need to make your reasons for your intentions stronger.  This is where a personal coach or reading books like “The Passion Test” may be a great start.

5.     Be grateful.  Gratitude is one of the most powerful magnetic forces in the universe.  This is absolutely true.  How so you say.  Well whenever you are grateful starting from the smallest of things such as even the light switch that brings light into your room so you can read at night, do your favorite craft, eat at a later time of the evening etc.  You start to see the miracles around you and amazing goals and intentions that others have set and brought into fruition.  You acknowledge with gratitude these things in your life such as that light switch.  Someone had to dream it, another invents it, another make it, while others had to promote and sell it.  So many people involved in so many amazing ways just in your home each day.  Gratitude takes you out of your own head space into a place where your energy and mood can be uplifted.

Gratitude leads to acknowledgement which leads to appreciation of one another.  We really are not isolated and alone.  We experience each day the dreams and intentions of others all around us when we choose to practice gratitude.  This really is a great way to improve your attitude and feelings which will give you more energy and more enthusiasm for life and your own goals and intentions.

6.     Remember to act each day from the outcome of your goal.  A great way to do this is to visualize the end result.  You can do this in your head or get a vision board and put images and words that match the end result that you can look at each day.  The idea is to remind yourself how would someone who has achieved this goal such as be at my ideal weight make choices during the day.  Do they eat cake at morning tea or fruit?
